NEC Planning Solutions is a Project Planning & Controls consultancy with social value designed into how we deliver.

When contractors engage us, social value is not an optional add-on. It is generated through a supervised training-and-placement delivery model that produces measurable skills and employment outcomes while strengthening programme quality, reporting discipline, and change audit trails.

We support capable, under-represented professionals with technical or project delivery backgrounds (engineering, science, project management and adjacent disciplines) who have the aptitude for planning and controls but are under-utilised in the market.

The current government guidance for the Social Value Model (PPN 002) mandates a minimum 10% weighting (or equivalent) for social value in-scope procurements. PPN 002 is explicit that social value should be applied in a structured way, with minimum weighting expectations in-scope. Our training is built around practical planning and project controls capability: programme development and assurance (P6/MS Project), baseline and update governance, reporting cadence, risk and critical path visibility, NEC-aligned communications discipline, and evidence management. Outcomes are evidenced through training logs, assessed outputs, and supervised deliverables produced on live projects.

Supply chain contribution and SME/VCSE alignment

Where the tender and the contractor’s supply chain strategy allow, we support “responsible spend” and capability-building outcomes in line with government priorities to give SMEs and VCSEs a fair chance at public contracts.

Audited performance and reporting

We provide a simple, repeatable evidence framework suitable for tender submissions and contract reporting:
• baseline KPI plan (what will be delivered, how measured, frequency)
• monthly reporting pack (progress vs KPI, evidence references)
