Programme Health Check & Recovery
Programme integrity checks, recovery planning and reset support where needed
Bring a programme back to a usable, consistent standard
When a programme stops being trusted, delivery decisions slow down and reporting becomes noise. This service provides a structured health check and recovery intervention to improve programme integrity, clarify key drivers and stabilise update discipline. Use it as a one‑off review, a targeted recovery action plan or as support for a controlled reset and rebaseline when a clean position is required.

Who it’s for
Contractors and asset owners experiencing one or more of the following: dates shifting without clear drivers, unstable critical path, inconsistent progress rules, unmanaged constraints or a programme that no longer reflects how the project is being delivered. It’s also useful before major submissions, replans, phase transitions or high‑stakes stakeholder reviews.
What it is
A programme‑led review and improvement service focused on integrity and usability. We review logic, constraints, calendars, baseline status, progress rules and data date discipline. We then apply targeted corrections and produce a clear recovery approach that teams can run and report against. Outputs are delivered in Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project, aligned to client formats where required.
Why it matters
Recovery isn’t just compressing durations. It’s restoring a plan that can be updated consistently and used to manage interfaces, key dates and risk. Without that, meetings become explanations rather than decisions, and recovery actions are hard to maintain across reporting cycles.
Delivery mode
Remote‑first
Delivery and reporting are issued remotely to an agreed cadence. Communication and progress capture happen via digital channels and shared workspaces.
Hybrid
Remote‑first service with planned site sessions for progress capture and key meetings. Combines efficiency with face‑to‑face engagement when it adds value.
Embedded
An embedded planner within your team where needed, supported by the same QA gateway and issue discipline. Integrates daily into delivery while retaining governed controls.
Typical outputs
Programme health check findings
A concise findings note covering logic integrity, constraints, calendars, baseline status, progress rules, data date discipline and critical path behaviour.
Integrity corrections & stabilisation
Targeted corrections to improve structure and stability, including link logic, constraint clean‑up, milestone behaviour, calendar alignment and progress rule consistency.
Recovery plan & priority actions
A practical recovery plan that identifies the drivers affecting key dates, near‑term constraints and interfaces, and the priority actions for the next period.
Critical path & key driver explanation
A clear explanation of what is driving key dates now and what needs to change for recovery actions to have effect.
Reset & rebaseline support (where agreed)
Where a clean control position is required, support to structure a controlled reset and rebaseline, including rules, cut‑offs and reporting pack alignment.
Optional enhancements
-
Programme Assurance Passport – a one‑page integrity summary issued alongside the health check or recovery pack where additional assurance evidence is helpful.
-
Time Risk Allowance review – where time risk allowance or similar allowances are used, support to document how they are applied and represented in the programme and narrative for clarity.
-
Controls operating note – a short “how this programme is run” note covering cut‑offs, update cadence, progress rules, evidence expectations and reporting structure.

Our Process
1. Diagnose
Confirm update cadence, data date, cut‑offs, progress rules, reporting format and input responsibilities. Align stakeholders on what the pack will contain each cycle.
2. Stabilise
Apply targeted corrections, confirm key drivers and interfaces, and set the rules needed for stable reporting cycles.
3. Recover & embed
Issue the recovery pack with priority actions and align the reporting rhythm so the programme remains usable. Where agreed, support a controlled reset and rebaseline.

-
More stable reporting cycles: Less variance noise and more dependable dates for planning and decisions.
-
Cleaner stakeholder discussions: Meetings focus on decisions and priorities instead of explanations.
-
Improved traceability: Assumptions, constraints and key changes remain visible through recovery.
